Fix hot water problems
Stuck with a hot water system that needs replacing in a hurry? If repair isn’t an option the good news is there is almost no difference in the time it takes to pull out an old electric system and put a solar tank or a heat pump in its place.
Installing solar panels on the roof will certainly take additional time, but the entire installation usually takes less than 24 hours.
Usually delays to putting up solar panels are due to bad weather. This doesn’t mean you have to put up with cold showers until they are installed. All split solar systems (ie panels on the roof and a tank below) have a booster, so the worst case scenario is that you can heat your water with the booster for a couple of days while you wait for the panels to be installed.
Then you will be harnessing the power of the sun for the next 15-20 years to heat your water – an excellent investment.
Fix heater? Hot water from a heat pump
Sometimes roofs are not suitable for solar panels or other technical issues prevent a household from going solar. In this case we recommend a heat pump. They are usually a straightforward installation and are very energy efficient.
